| |   | Announcements | | | Updated 11/11/09 We strongly recommend both the H1N1 vaccine and regular seasonal flu vaccine for all children and teens over 6 months old. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of both vaccines at this time and we have only a very limited supply. H1N1 vaccine is available only to children with high risk conditions such as severe asthma, diabetes, heart disease, immune deficiency, and neurological disease. We have no control over the supply and await additional shipments from the government. If your child qualifies as high risk, please call as soon as possible to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine since the supply is so limited. We hope to have more in the near future so that everyone can be protected. We also have a limited supply of seasonal flu vaccine. This virus has not yet appeared in the community but we expect it to arrive soon. Everyone should also receive this vaccine. This announcement will be updated frequently, as conditions change. | | We welcome Colleen M Halloran to our pediatric practice. She was a pediatric nurse, initially recieved a pediatric clinical nurse specialist degree from U.C.S.F. She ended her nursing career teaching pediatric nursing at USF. She is married and the mother of 4 growing children. Dr. Halloran brings wisdom to our practice from both her academic eduation and training as well as hands on experience which comes from parenting. |
